Mexican food wheel
Tonight
Ready to spin
Press Spin and the wheel picks one dish.
The wheel is ready. Spin it, or open another kind of food from the list above.
How a pick is made. Every slice is equally likely. The spin uses your browser's secure random number generator, so a result cannot be steered and earlier spins do not change the next one. Dishes you mark as eaten are taken off the wheel for seven days, and that list stays on this device only.
Tacos, burritos, enchiladas and other dishes from Mexican and Tex-Mex cooking.
Every dish on the mexican wheel
- Street tacosSmall corn tortillas with grilled meat, onion and cilantro. Eaten with lime and salsa, two or three at a time.
- BurritoA large flour tortilla rolled around rice, beans, meat and cheese. A handheld meal that fills you up.
- EnchiladasTortillas filled and rolled, covered in chili sauce and cheese, then baked. Soft, saucy and warming.
- QuesadillaA tortilla folded over melted cheese and griddled until crisp. Quick and easy to add chicken or peppers.
- FajitasSizzling strips of grilled meat with peppers and onions, served with tortillas to build your own.
- Loaded nachosTortilla chips baked with cheese, beans, jalapeños and toppings. Made to be shared.
- PozoleA hominy stew with pork or chicken in a red or green broth, topped with cabbage and radish.
- TamalesCorn dough with a filling, steamed in a husk. Soft and mild, often eaten at celebrations.
- ChilaquilesFried tortilla pieces simmered in salsa and topped with cheese and egg. A common late breakfast.
- Burrito bowlThe burrito without the tortilla: rice, beans, meat, salsa and cheese in a bowl.
How to settle it
Mexican food mixes freely: the same meat can go into tacos, a burrito or a bowl. Spin for the format and pick your filling second.
The wheel holds 10 dishes, so each has a one-in-10 chance on a fresh wheel. As you mark dishes as eaten they come off for seven days, and the odds of the rest go up.
