About Time gap
What this is
A meeting planner for people who work across time zones. Pick two to five of 268 cities and a date, and each city's day is drawn as a bar, lined up so that a column is the same moment everywhere. The columns where everyone is inside working hours are marked, and the time you pick can be copied as one line for an invite or shared as a link.
How the times are computed
Everything is computed in your browser with the time zone database that ships with it (the IANA tz database). Nothing is fetched from a time server. The city pages and pair pages were computed the same way when the site was built; they describe rules such as “the second Sunday in March” rather than this year's dates, and the one date they do print — the next clock change — says when it was computed.
What it leaves out
Public holidays, lunch breaks, part-time weeks and countries whose weekend is not Saturday and Sunday. If your colleagues work Sunday to Thursday, set their hours and read the hatched weekend columns with that in mind.
Corrections
If a city is in the wrong time zone or a rule is described wrongly, say which page and what is wrong.
